How to Care for Outdoor Lounge Furniture
Most outdoor lounges need very little looking after. Here is what to do to keep yours in good shape.
Routine Cleaning
Wipe frames and wicker with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse with clean water and let it dry in the sun. Avoid harsh cleaners or high-pressure hoses on the wicker. These loosen the weave and can void the warranty.
Cushion Care
If the covers come off, remove them and machine wash on a gentle cycle. Air dry only. Tumble drying shrinks and damages outdoor fabric. Spot clean cushion inserts with mild detergent and let them dry fully before putting covers back on.
Wet Weather and Off-Season Storage
Bring cushions indoors or keep them in a covered storage box during heavy rain or long periods without use. Frames and wicker handle year-round outdoor use in most Australian climates. In coastal areas, rinse frames monthly with clean water to slow rust on the fittings.
